In addition to getting a new theme for krishpop, I also purchased a super cheap domain name, so now my personal site is at krishpop.xyz.
A lot else has changed too, besides the superficial stuff. This blog used to feature my interests in design and entrepreneurship. While I admit that I am still drawn to these topics, the majority of my time is now spent thinking about ai, which is something I have always been interested in.
This being my first post in a while, I’ll write a bit about some things I’ve been doing recently. For starters, the Yale Data Science team is starting to shape again, and we are hoping that we’ll be more successful at consistent attendance than past iterations.
I also recently wrote a writeup for my Disney class about the Pixar-Disney acquisition. I had a lot of fun writing it, and you can check it out here.
One of the courses I took this term was Automated Decision Systems. For my final project, I decided to work on rewriting my professor’s PH’D work with a friend from Lisp to Python. You can check out the project on Github.
Finally, I am in the process of learning how to use some essential data science tools in Python, and played around a bit with iPython. Here is some code for iPython that compares the random forest regressor to a basic linear regressor. You can see the full notebook here.
